Issue 3 - p. 3 - What's on TV?

I hate soap operas. I have never watched an entire episode of any soap opera in my life, but one thing I have noticed is that all the characters are wealthy. Who the hell walks around in tuxedos and evening gowns in the middle of the day??

In the bottom left panel, the soap opera's name is given as Not Boring At All. This is an inside joke to the soap opera my friends created in high school called Boring As Hell. No, it wasn't common practice to go around creating soap operas in Saint Boniface. My group of friends (known simply as The Mob) got into the hobby of filming "videos", short humourous sketches that we would produce and perform in for our enjoyment. We did a number of these from grade 9 to 11 (if memory serves). The first one was in 1983 and was known as the SPAZ-TV FIVE DOLLAR TELETHON. The purported objective of the telethon was to raise enough money to pay for the land we used the previous summer for the erstwhile North York Olympics. We raised $4.99 and one half cents.
