Issue 3 - p. 7 - What's on TV? (cont'd)

The top two panels show the characters from what I consider the best season of Law and Order: Lenny Briscoe (Jerry Orbach), Mike Logan (Chris Noth), Ben Stone (Michael Moriarty) and the ever-foxy Claire Kincaid (Jill Hennessey in her pre-Crossing Jordan days). I used to be totally into this show. In fact, I don't think there was ever a dramatic series that I watched as regularly as this one. (In recent years, it has been replaced in my viewing schedule by The West Wing.) I remember my brother would sometimes call me right at the midway point of the show and when I would answer the phone, he would simply shout: "Arraignment!" because that always happened at the halfway point of the show and he knew I would be watching.

Oh - a bit of swearing here (bottom left). That will disappear in a few issues.

First appearance of "And Now The Sports" (as opposed to the news). Hmm, I guess the Sens did have a team at this point. Maybe I was still cheering for the Bruins because the Sens really sucked the first few seasons.
